An Overview of Tractor Rotavator Parts

A tractor rotavator important piece of machinery that helps the farmer in primary and secondary tillage operations. The better soil pulverisation can be achieved with the help of tractor rotavator.

overview of tractor rotavator parts

Every farmer around the world know about this machinery and its benefits on the field but sometimes it's ideal to know the parts of a tractor rotavator.

Here in this article we will explorer about the tractor rotavator parts. Scroll down to read.

  1. Independent Top Mast
  2. Gear Box
  3. Chain Case Part Flange
  4. Rotavator Blades
  5. Frame and Cover
  6. Depth skids
  7. Offset Frame

Lets explorer them one by one.

Independent Top Mast

Rotavator works with the tractor Power Take-Off (P.T.O.) and to use transmit power from tractor one end of the shaft attached with it. This shaft got to ends one end is connected with the PTO and the second one is connected with the rotavator.

Gear Box

A gearbox consists of bevel gears, main and pinion shafts and roller bearings that control the P.T.O. rpm. Now new types of rotavator got the capability to control the speed of rotavator rotating speed that enables throwing and tilling the soil at different levels. It also prevents the clogging of Rotavator.

Chain Cover Part Flange

Chain covers are best preventing oil leakage of gear or chain drive. It is a supporting element on which chain and gears are safely protected from outside.

Blades

Blades are one of the main parts of a rotavator. The fine seedbed, mixing the residual soil and soil tilling are depended on the blade type and its assembly. Blades come in many sizes and types like L, C and J types. These blades are made with High carbon steel.

Frame and Cover

Covers are an important part of a tractor rotavator as it controls many things. The front-rear cover controls the degree of pulverization of the soil. The restricted position of cover abilities the clays to obtain additional pulverized by the speed of rotating blades and accurate tilth will be achieved.

Depth Skids

The tilling depth can be controlled with the help of depth skids and it is fixed on the flexible frame so that the distance between blades and soils or the contact between them can be fixed.

Offset Frame – These frames are placed on side of a tractor rotavator to give support to rotary blade mounted shaft. These shafts can be adjustable as per the tasks required.
