Check Soil Moisture

With hard soil clay its very difficult to use rotavator because it may not be able to do more than scour away at the first few of inches of soil. So keep soil moisture in mind.


Remove Weeds


Weeds can be lower down the performance of a tractor rotavator. So before using rotavator on the field, try to remove weeds a few days in advance. If you use rotavator in the field of weeds then these will get caught in the Rotavator tractor tines and spread around the plot of land.


Operate the tiller safely


Any type of machine can be dangerous if not used properly. Tillers and rotavators are falls in the same country. When you are in the action do try to keep your feet and hands away from the blades, and you should stay in command of the instrument at all times. Try to lower down coming out of the cabin of your tractor, use ear defenders and padded gloves, particularly if you’re using a heavy-duty Rotavator over a large field.


Rotavate the land in strips


The ideal practice of using a rotavator is the land in strips. In strip try to overlap with the earlier strip as move on to the next strip. And with tilling the field two or three passes over each strip are best in practice. Remember don't dig much deeper than 2 or 3 inches deep on the first pitch. With the second it is easy to dig deeper than the previous one.
